Kate Stohr is the co-founder of Architecture for Humanity, a journalist, website developer and experienced project manager. She has been instrumental in coordinating design services and bringing in more than $5M for rebuilding to Mississippi and Louisiana.

Ms. Stohr co-edited the book Design Like You Give a Damn. She has written for international, national and local news outlets on environmental impact, and urban and architectural issues for Dwell, The New York Times and U.S. News and World Report among others. In addition, as a documentary producer, she has worked on shows for A&E, BBC Television and PBS. She received her bachelor's degree magna cum laude from New York University and her master's degree in Journalism from Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism.

She has served as a panel moderator and guest speaker at a number of design conferences and events, including the New York Public Library speaker series "Live from NYPL," Structures for Inclusion and the Chicago Architecture Foundation.

Ms. Stohr is the recipient of Wired magazine's 2006 Rave Award for Architecture and a board member for the Center for Architecture and Design in San Francisco.
